The Colour Of Music

Band: Soror Dolorosa
Album: Blind Scenes
Year: 2011
Genre: New Wave/Gothic Rock
Country: France
Myspace: http://www.myspace.com/sorordolorosa

4. Low End
5. Soror Dolorosa
6. Scars Of Crusade
7. In A Glance
8. Broken Wings

In the bands own words:

"The album is quite cold, with misty blue moods. 'Blind Scenes' would rather be perceived as scenes unseen, that is to say, out of time and out of the real world. As a state of grace overshadowed by the inevitability of everyday life. The lyrics are heartfelt and talk about regrets, coldness, alcohol abuse, as well as forfeiture, but mostly nostalgia, hence the blue color of the music."

The digital album cost less than the price of a beer so support the artist and buy it you cheap bastards.

BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME - THE PARALLAX: HYPERSLEEP DIALOGUES (2011)

Many people out there would agree that The Great Misdirect didn't conquer them in the same degrees that Colours did. While still being an outstanding album, it had a lot of expectations placed upon it.

BTBAM has re-kindled my love for them, by taking the finest moments to date that BTBAM has produced and reducing them down to a 30min EP. In no way is this a back ward step for the band, The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues can be seen as a gradual evolution when compare to there previous releases and the band is still able to seamlessly blend different genres together.

Tracklisting:

1. Specular Reflection
2. Augment of Rebirth
3. Lunar Wilderness

Burial & Four Tet & Thom Yorke - Ego/Mirror (2011)

Fresh from Radiohead's new album "The King Of Limbs", Thom Yorke has involved himself in a new two track  collaborative with Dupstep's Burial and Folktronica's Four Tet.

Both Burial and Four Tet have worked together in the past and both producers have remixed tracks from Thom, but never working directly with either of them.

The album continues the journey into the realms of dense, glitchy electronica.

Tracklisting:

1. Ego
2. Mirror

Mastodon - Live At The Aragon (2011)

Recorded (and filmed) live on the 19th Rocktober, 2009 in the Aragon Ballroom (Chicago). The progressive metal frontiersmen capture in glorious hues of gold and silver the entire "Crack the Skye" album plus a few selected tracks from "Blood Mountain", "Leviathan" and a blistering cover of "The Bit" by "Melvins".

I'm absolutely loving this live album. While the vocals at times pale in comparison to their studio albums the boys are still a very polished outfit and I can't wait to get my grubby claws on the DVD.

Tracklisting:

01. Oblivion
02. Divinations
03. Quintessence
04. The Czar
05. Ghost of Karelia
06. Crack The Skye
07. The Last Baron

10. Where Strides The Behemoth
11. Mother Puncher
12. The Bit (MELVINS cover)
